Chance encounter! I met an awesome girl on my New York-Chicago flight this week: Mars Argo, an aspiring photographer and student at Columbia College who, turns out, was in New York because she wants to transfer to a more intensive arts school in the city. Together with her boyfriend, a videographer, she has a kickass experimental website called grocerybag.tv in which the couple posts her photography, his videos, and the music they make together. Worth checking out… you can tell that these two are really stretching their legs, and that they’re uniquely capable of expressing themselves through multiple mediums.
I saw part of her portfolio on the plane ride (she just did a shoot of a sick apartment on the Upper East Side for an architectural magazine) and we decided to keep in touch and collaborate on stuff (like OpenShutter, her move to Manhattan, etc). Thanks, American Airlines Flight 313!
